sex education should be...
medically accurate, lgbtqia+, and consent focused
Research consistently shows that access to comprehensive sexuality education is crucial for young people. Without access to information, students are more likely to experience unintended pregnancy, contract sexually transmitted infections, and remain unprepared to navigate sexual decisions in healthy ways.
let's talk has partnered with multiple school districts, providing 180 minutes of professionally facilitated instruction in freshman health classes. We strive to meet the needs of all students by ensuring presentations are inclusive for LGBTQIA+ students. We are committed to ending rape culture with the belief that all sexual contact should be enthusiastically wanted.
We utilize strategies and activities designed to personalize information and engage students. We show students that discussing sex and sexuality doesn’t have to be awkward, with the goal of increasing student’s comfort level communicating about these topics with family members and romantic partners.
"I believe sex education is important for our kids because we need to understand that this decision is one that involves two people and we need to respect the participating parties body and decision."
- High School Teacher
"The reason I think sex education is important is because some households are uncomfortable with the idea of having the talk with their kids. And I think it's something that needs to be talked about for safety precautions."
- High School Student
"I can appreciate the work that Let's Talk has done to provide comprehensive sex education that is inclusive to LGBTQ+ students as this practice promotes a school environment that is free from bullying and harassment."
